There are twenty-four lessons included in this course. Each lesson contains dialogue, new words, notes for grammars, and usage of patterns. Chinese Spell System known as Han Yu Pin Yin and simplified Chinese characters are used in the course to comply with the United Nations' standard. After this course, you will have the necessary conversational skills to function independently in everyday situations in China.

Videotapes No.1-4 cover lessons 1-12, accompanied with textbook Vol. I; videotapes No.5-8 cover lessons 13-24, accompanied with textbook Vol. II. The length of each videotape: approximately 45 minutes, each lesson lasts for 15 minutes. Total number of new words and vocabularies: Over 600; commonly used expressions.
